Now they are learning Chinese, Bahasa and English as part of the language lessons
Yet we here are only learning our Mother tongue and English
Even if you read today's evening papers, new police officers in Malaysian Police have to learn Chinese otherthan Arabic...
Are we losing to them?

online it is difficult even to find a dictionary for this language. internationally it is not commonly recognised. thought 'useless' is a bit exaggerated. -

I dun have communication when travelling in Malaysia as I can speak Bahasa quite well..
There is no harm in learning 1 more language... -
Danm.. because of bahasa.. its one more extra subject. Now all subjects are being changed over to English. But boh pien... compulsory Bahasa Melau\yu,,, sigh...

Losing just in terms of language. If we can survive with the 2 languages that we learn, we don't lose. If we can't survive, it's not that we didn't learn more languages, it's just that we can't use it. Yes, we should take the initiative. I am learning it as well, but I can't speak it. Besides taking the initiative, we should apply it too. If like me, learn = never learn. I can't speak a proper despite learning for a few years. -

Wait till 1 day, the Indonesians trade with the Malaysian Chinese to trade in PRC because they can speak their language then harm is inflicted -
