Hong Kong is the gateway to China. Therefore it is only sensible that the exhibitors want the event to be in Hong Kong. From there, they can "tap" into the Chinese market. In fact, many investors done the same. They step into Hong Kong first, then to China. Go to Hong Kong and ask any business people there; they will tell you the same thing.
