Hi "tiggersgd" - always lurking in the columns, reading the many interesting and varied replies, listening to the sonar and depths of all the postings.
Interesting that this newsbite should surface after Mahathir's departure from political office.
It is not surprising that he will deal with Jews, afterall nothing in his religious beliefs prevent him from doing so.
Mahathir showed himself to be a "master" politician, adapt at the art of being a chameleon - with a thick skin as a bonus, and a generous mind towards the criticism of his opponents.
How often does one hear of libel suits being used to bankrupt opposition in Malaysia ?
Sadly, can we say the same of our own politics, where opposition is bankrupt into extinction, and "raiding the National Reserves" is made so "legitimately correct" by a single party dominated parliament that rubber stamp legislations to suit the fancy of the Political Leadership ?
Yes, Mahathir is correct in saying "there is no free lunch !" - it just cost cheaper over in Malaysia than in Singapore.
