If i dun remember wrongly, he won by just a whisker. 51-49 over Mr Seetoh, I don't feel gd abt Mr Chaims chances, but he is sure one hell of a fighter, so never rule out his chances. Well, Eric Low said his chikus are ripe for the plucking for the second election in a role, so we shall see the outcome to that contest. I think dun bother watching the others, it is more of how much PAP can win.
When are the next American Elections btw? I love the way the networks cover the elections - it is almost like watching a game show. -
There will be 9 5 member GRC and 5 6 member GRC... Pasir Ris Punggol will become 6, East Coast will become 5.. Holland Bt Panjang GRC will be renamed as Holland Bt Timah GRC
New SMC: Bt Panjang, Yio Chu Kang
SMC to be withdrawn: Bt Timah, Ayer Rajah
No change to the 7 SMCs though the GRC and SMC some have some area changes -
Seesh the maps so confusing lah. I dun even know if I'm part of AMK GRC or Yio Chu Kang SMC.

PAP sure win. The history of Singapore after 1965 tells everything that we need to know. PAP will always win any election... Sometimes I wonder why elections are even held in the first place. . .

dont think opposition will win in YCK SMC. Some middle and upper class people may not know him though...
and anyway I suspect that there is a conspiracy.... Why YCK and not the rest? So far I only know that the 2nd best MP of AMK is mr seng. You dont see the kebun baru MP (* singh) doing much for the people. Many people dislike him. If PM were to give up kebun baru, it will be opposition for sure.
What about Jalan Kayu etc? Unsafe... still remember Cheng San GRC? Nearly got opposition. Therefore PM doesnt want to risk. -

All the efforts Chiam have made to improve his constituents have hit a bureaucratic brick wall. Thwarted and ridiculed at every turn and in parliament, it is unlikely he can do more for his constituents.
The govt has clearly made an example of potong pasir constituents for refusing to recognize their PAP challenger, leaving them turning into what SM GCT has been quoted as.... 'slum'. -
PAP govt is master strategist.
How do you get rid of a popular MP?
You must make sure he cannot return to stand as Independant candidate.
By doing away with Ayer Rajah, the strongman Dr Tan would not be able to return to stand as an Independant candidate once he is retired from PAP, even if he chooses to do so.......
This is a master stroke of PAP............ I really think they plan very well......

IN FACT, when I think back of the PAST FEW YEARS of ELECTIONS.. Where I've not even got a SINGLE CHANCE to cast a VOTE even till I'm 30 this year.. I've long QUESTION my 'RIGHTS' as a CITIZEN of SINGAPORE... Talk about SENSE OF BELONGING...?? In a land where those neither my dad & mum NOR the leaders I've selected are CONTROLLING my LIFE..
