The relationship of Singaporians to foreigners

I would like to know what (chinese) Singaporians think of Chinese and Taiwanese nationals, do they have special relationship with them or are they viewed as any other foreigner. Essentially I want to know if there is a special connection due to the common cultural roots.
I would also like to know how Singaporians see Japanese (are there still provisos due to the japanese occupation of Singapore ?) and Malaysians
( how relaxed are the relations between Singaporians and Malaysians 40 years after the inglorious separation ?)

I'm too tired to comment on such a heavy topic ... but can't help noticing - you've spelt 'Singaporean' wrongly every single time you use that word!

The style of writing doesn't look like one from a Singaporean. -
We (including non-Chinese) Singaporeans are first class.

I see Chinese and Taiwanese as foreigners. Japanese are palpably more foreign because of the language barrier. But culturally, I might feel closer to the Japanese than the Chinese because the Japanese have a more modern mindset in many ways.

Anybody who is not Singaporean is foreigner. Doesn't matter even if you know any of our languages, you will still be a foreigner.

Singaporean men likes Japanese girls. Japanese like japanese and Japanese men like girls regardless of where they are from.
Malaysians think whatever Singaporeans have belongs to them and Singaporeans think malaysians are crazy to be thinking that way. -
i hate taiwanese and most mainlanders.

Hmmm.. Let's see... I have worked with PRCs often and Taiwanese at some point. Between the two.. I must say I like PRCs better, they were able to commumicate on the same level and not much air - except some PRC students who think we are too slack and not academically serious.. but we do get better results (due to our grasp of English.) . But all in all, I would say it's a cultural difference. On the Businese end, they are very shrewed associates - Have to watch my back and pockets more often.
I personally do not like working with Taiwanese, their attitude is really bad, irresponsible and needs supervision.. at least of those I met. I will not take their words for anything and assume nothing they say will came out the same as discussed.
To sum it up... our cultural mentalities are different but we do share some similar cultural roots. Gambling is one
On the Japanese, I do not fear nor hate them.. this generation are now a very different people than those of the 1940s. But their current Government are still very much bedded with the mindset of their emperial days. they have the same hawkish administration for the past 50 years... their FM Aso scares me. -

HUH? You know our history or not? Don't anyhow pom here. Singapore was part of Malaysia from 1963 to 1965. We separated from Malaysia from 1965 onwards.Originally posted by contact:me too?
