  SINGAPORE : Temasek Polytechnic has revised its human resource policy to allow staff to participate in political activities without seeking the approval of the polytechnic, and to stand for elections without having to retire from service.
  
  The polytechnic said its decision had nothing to do with Workers' Party Chairman Sylvia Lim's intention to run for the upcoming general election.
  
  Ms Lim is a lecturer at the Polytechnic.

  I read fr other news reported Ms Lim saying that if they win
  an GRC,she will resign to run the town council full time.
  
  2.How come PAP so lenient?At least now she has more option.
  Enen she lose,she can continue as lecture.

  no big deal what....nus is holding a lecturing post for a minister until he decides to return to the uni...other quasi-govt companies also got jobs awaiting soon to be retiring mps.
