should rapist be hanged?.as well as murderers?.
wouldn't it make the world a safer place?.
and if we dont hang them why let them rot in jail and waste the tax payer's money?

no one have the right to take another man's life.
only GOD can do it......
my opinion..i doubt it if one of yr close friend is raped or murdered...

- In terms of protection to society, putting them in prison for life would have the same effect as an execution.
- One point in favor of hanging: It fulfills a retributive function. It lets victims of crime feel that they have been avenged.
- Not everyone believes in God anymore, and this is a secular state. Hence that argument is moot.
- Morality is a very relative concept; there is no common thread of morality. Hence, any argument founded on morality is bound to be tenuous.
- Main problem with hanging is the fact that the justice system does not always get the right man. The system has got it wrong many times in the past. If he is still alive, we could at least try to compensate him for the mistake. If he is dead, there is no way to bring him back to life again.

Go read this blog entry. And check out the comment posted by me.The death penalty should be abolished at all costs. Nations that still retain it do not deserve any legitimacy.
