Already has 530 car body makers in China . A sub-compact car is sold at US$5,000/-.As safety standards improve so is acceptance level. When would we see a Made-in-China sedan here in Singapore?

Big MNCs are moving their R&D units there for one-tenth to a third of the Western salaries for the scientists and engineers.

Even as big MNCs are injecting billions into China, their state bank still reluctant to approve bank loan for local SME. The bigger players are mostly state owned enterprises.
Is this related to the overseas raising of funds like Chinese IPO in Spore?
Understand the rationale is to prevent the growth of the powerbase that would challenge the monolithic state.
Would this could poses a challenge and make it easier for their Indian counterpart to surge ahead in the competition.
