hougang and potong pasir indicate that they want PAP MPs. All the more so if all the GRCs and Single wards reject the opposition candidates. If people here do not want any opposition in parliament, so be it. They have to live with whatever the consequences may be and stop complaining in future.
Why should the Opposition Party give up if either one or both Hougang and Potong Pasir is - OR are - lost ?
One should count the votes and the margin of the loss involved, and move on to prepare for the next election.
Losing one Battle does not mean the War is over, each Election is a Battle of the Hearts and Minds of Singaporeans.
For more then THIRTY YEARS, JBJ had NOT given up the FIGHT - even with the monumentous weight that has been brought down on him, and has instead even won admiration and praise from "the Son and the Holy Goh, but not the Father" .
There is a lesson to be learnt from the perseverance of JBJ and CSJ - both of whom have at least pushed the envelope to fight against the arrogant and monopolistic rule of the POWER OF ONE.
