She loses baby after robbers' bashing

A BUSINESSWOMAN miscarried for a second time in two years after she was attacked in a petrol station toilet last Saturday.
Madam Shirley Koh, 35, was with her husband, their 4-year-old son and their maid.
The family stopped at a petrol station in Jalan Tebrau, Johor Bahru, on their way home after shopping at City Square.
Madam Koh told Malaysian newspapers that she and her maid had taken her son to use the toilet when four or five men in their 20s suddenly rushed in.
She said in tears: 'They started hitting me. They punched my face, and kicked me in the stomach.'
She covered her face but the men continued to hit her around her head and neck.
Madam Koh was seven months pregnant with a boy and, during her ordeal, she heard someone say in Malay: 'She's pregnant, don't kick her.'
The attackers took her handbag, containing RM1,000 ($440), as well as her ATM and credit cards before fleeing.
It was too late when her husband, who had gone to the cashier, rushed her to the hospital.
They lost the baby the next day.
This is Madam Koh's second miscarriage. Two years ago, her five-month-old foetus suddenly stopped growing.
Her husband said that they were shaken, but still hoped to have more children in the future. -

I seriously don't think these are ordinary robbers at all. Just few years back my relative was mugged at JB petrol kiosk driving a mercedes. The robber threathen him with a knife. My relative said "don't take everything" the robber took about $100 sing and left him about $10.
Robbers know the consequences for armed robbery, their objective is money and not interested in harming victims and armed robbery crimes against old ladies and pregnant women are frowned upon in jails.
In this case the pregnant woman was punched and kicked the objective is more than just mere money, the objective is to shock and terrify. it is as though in indonesia soldiers were openly raping chinese women.

I feel that singapore sld step in cos it invloves life in here, and we are so "near" to each other our lives are at stake too. it concern both parties as well.

if need to go , must have a mindset that it a crime area, and behave on guard when in crime area. no need to bring family. why put family in harm;s way.

no offend to malaysian here... dun you all think that malaysian always hate sg when we in their country... got any problem u find the police over there they also woun't help much.. moreover if you go there shopping, the people over there know that you are from singapore they give u the worse service... i really dun understand why so much singaporean go there shopping or hoilday when we are treated inhuman over there. And if you look carefully there aren't cheap things over there... it almost equal to sg.... price

it has been happening in the past, robbers, criminals, kicking and punching pregnant women till they lose their babies. A sad fact of life, but hardly uncommon anymore

It is not only in Johor but also in Malacca where Sporean got hated. -
Next time i see a pregnant Malaysian...

I think, we should just stick to imprting goods from Malaysia, and STOP, going over to shop personally.
This way, with the great drop in revenues from our abstenance of shopping there, perhaps then the Malaysian authorities will polish up their crime rates. -

Don't think it is fair to condemn all Malaysians or even all Johorians just because of a few isolated incidents
