They should hold a "confidence" vote in a walkover GRC. That's the only way to gauge and show how much support they really have, rather than think just because there's no competition that means everyone likes me.

Agree with you. Even in a walkover, residents in that consitutuency should still get to vote just like in the Thai system. Have two ballot boxes with one marked as "NO VOTE" and the other as "*** Party" where *** is the name of the party.
