Otherwise what you have is what you see in Singapore, the interest of the establishment and the interests of the ruling party and the interest of the "family" is more equal than the average people interests.
Individual taxi drivers are sidelined in preference for taxi companies. Foreign workers are invited to replace Singapore workers... or instead of paying Singapore workers more, foreign workers are invited to do the job for cheaper... and so on and so forth..
But he is wrong to say this unless he declares SG as a communist state with our secret police being the ISD.Originally posted by dragg:but he is right to say that no ruling party will make things easy for the opposition.
Nope.Originally posted by Xbox1:But he is wrong to say this unless he declares SG as a communist state with our secret police being the ISD.
And NO PUBLIC should KEEP IN SILENCE when their gahment is using them that way!!Originally posted by dragg:but he is right to say that no ruling party will make things easy for the opposition.
Dare you to make a noise outside Parliament in protest....Originally posted by Devil1976:And NO PUBLIC should KEEP IN SILENCE when their gahment is using them that way!!
What MM said is quite true.Originally posted by pwnz0r:Truth is, if there is so much malcontent with the PAP, feel free to vote for the other party. In fact, feel free to join any opposition parties and lend them your support if you are in a uncontested zone.
What MM Lee said is very true. The only reason why there is any lack of success by the opposition is that everyone has a good life here and have no reason to support the opposition.
If there is widespead unhappiness, then will you see more people supporting the opposition. And if PAP has really fallen short in delivering to the people, you might even find current MPs forming their own parties.
Do you really honestly think that being a MP gives a good life? It's not easy, and you find most MPs' children not even considering a path like that.
Of course not me alone lah...Originally posted by ShutterBug:Dare you to make a noise outside Parliament in protest....
How to know?Originally posted by bic_cherry:DisgustingÂ… $1.5M/mth pension for life?

“Singapore ministers have a lifetime pension of about 80% of their last drawn salary after about two terms.
The Pm at S$1.9 million will get over S$1.5 million a year for life.
Tell me is he bringing all these money along with him when he die?”
True?
Saw the thread but found no intelligent answer.
Why no body clarify?—bc no one knows or no one cares?
Though I'm not sure of that, but I know about 'other issues' which are definitely true... It's as TRUE as your MM telling you that there's no fair level play... Within the gahment or not... Now that they've got the 'mandate hand', they can just slap us anytime they want... No need to be 'fair' or whatever...Originally posted by bic_cherry:DisgustingÂ… $1.5M/mth pension for life?
