wau-lau how old is our old young chicken..he's at least 69 or so? that's young?Originally posted by king108:In a democatic country, I must respect the voters selection. However, Prof Jayakumar would commit himself to serve singapore further even no as elected MPs (touchwood) but as a appointed SM to serve singapore and create wealth for singaporean. He is still young and with great thinking, definitely wouldn't leave us when he can still contribute to singapore. I believe Madam Prof Jayakumar will understand that.
wah... this wish, that prayer.... better still lah... lets hope MM Lee's wishes can come true better lah.... All seats contested... then everybody got to voteOriginally posted by Terence Chooi:I stay in East Coast GRC under Fengshan. THE RESIDENTS OF FENGSHAN HAPPILY WELCOMES THE WORKERS PARTY!
Now that WP has answered Jayakumar and Raymond Lim's prayers to have a contest, some one must also answer Goh Chok Tong's prayer so that he will not feel too left out.
elect him president la, younger too.Originally posted by king108:Please respect Prof Jayakumar..he is a talented man, I treasured his real talent, will be very sad if he is not elected. We must find a way to retain him for his talent to serve singapore better.
I will beg for the ruling party to think of a way to retain his talent..from the way terence chooi welcomed WP..![]()

King,Originally posted by king108:He is still able to contribute and besides he is definitely younger than MM. We cannot force any elected MPs to step down in a democratic society. However, we can learnt to keep the talents even if they can still contribute to this nation like MM. Else how to have a First World Standard Country, you mean First World Standard Country can be built by very young people only? Chinese saying "Ginger is old one hot" never heard of new ginger hot..
I am begging to be a citzen of a First World Standard Country.
deja vu?Originally posted by LinYu:Election Dept says WP candidate did not apply for minority certificate

SINGAPORE : Workers' Party candidate James Gomez is embroiled in yet another controversy over his election papers.
At the last poll, an omission in his nomination papers led to him being unable to stand for election.
This time he has run into some trouble with his minority candidate certification.
Ahead of Nomination Day, candidates have been turning up at the Election Department to collect some important documents.
These include their political donation certificate.
For candidates like Singapore Democratic Alliance's Abdul Rahman, it is his minority candidate certificate.
But WP's James Gomez says he has not received his minority candidate certificate.
He claims he submitted his application on Monday, but the Election Department says it has no record of his application.
But this may not matter.
The WP is only eyeing one GRC which requires an Indian candidate - Ang Mo Kio GRC.
But the party has introduced two Indian candidates - Mr Gomez and housing maintenance inspector Gopal Krishnan. - CNA/de
What? No Again. Damn it![]()
