Evidently, Mrs Goh C.T. just showed how greater $$$ divide Singaporean will be http://groups.google.com.sg/group/soc.culture.singapore/msg/459a097c487f1d37?hl=en&
You have implied:
1. TT Durai should have earned more for his work.
2. A salary of $600K is peanuts> so most SingaporeanÂ’s annual incomes are most insignificant. Less significant then peanuts to you.
3. So for all the hard work that Singaporeans do- you consider its monetary return peanutsÂ….
By the way:
1. in May2000, when the media reported -a Department of Statistics disclosure that the lowest 10% of society had an average monthly income of only $75.81. - http://groups.google.com.sg/group/soc.culture.malaysia/msg/69a26e09ba0b962d?hl=en&
2. The number of households with monthly incomes of less than $3,000 was 40 percent in 1998 but increased to 42 percent in 1999.- http://www.singaporedemocrat.org/poverty.html
3. That NS boys lives are worth less then peanuts given that the compensation for death of a svc man is $110K only. http://groups.google.com.sg/group/soc.culture.singapore/msg/655c7687ebb1e95e?hl=en&
4. $2,507,200/ yr --- President's salary http://groups.google.com.sg/group/soc.culture.singapore/msg/2b4dead75e79327b?&hl=en (sect4.1)

5. That IÂ’m a monkeyÂ… and so are the majority of SingaporeansÂ… almost worthless in your eyes.
PAP represents Singaporeans- and the QOL (quality of life) of PAP leaders should mirror that of the common man- NOT money hunger CEOs who will not hesitate to exploit workers for $$$.
Pegging to house hold incomes means PAP leaders have to think of the welfare of Singaporeans first and not collude with CEOs of MNCs to whip the Singaporean to work harder.
Dear PAP leaders- have our welfare at heart and we will give you a strong mandate.
Please peg ministerial salary to eg 20x the median household income of all Singaporeans- this would be more equitable calc for a 1st class government.—note the word ‘household’
(pls correct any mistakes if present.)
