I donÂ’t think tt PAP is that great for our future:
1. Why can’t PAP protect people against structural unemployment?- If PAP had the foresight- it would have opened up university in such desirable courses for free- then there would be much less reliance on ‘foreign talent’
The fact that there is structural unemployment shows that PAP has not done enough to guide the people.- PAP should use all the foreign worker levies to train Singaporeans a very cheap rates to take on jobs temporarily taken by foreigners- otherwise- Singaporeans will remain poor in their own country.
2. Singapore should pay more to hire local nurses/ health care professionals- foreign nurses will leave the moment our dollar falls- that would lead to many Singaporeans suffering miserable lives.
3. Hospital bed shortages must be reduced- such medical services are an integral part of disaster preparedness.- http://groups.google.com.sg/group/soc.culture.singapore/msg/96b9f84d007f941c?hl=en&
4. It is unwise for PAP salary to be pegged to CEO salary as PAP leaders shouldnÂ’t be rewarded for improving the welfare of CEOs-
they should peg their salaries to eg 30x the median personal salary of SINGAPOREANS (not foreign talent) – remember- PAP pay should reference the welfare of Singaporeans- PAP leaders should NOT act in cahoots with those foreigners employed as CEOs- who’s job is to exploit the local worker maximally. http://groups.google.com.sg/group/soc.culture.singapore/msg/2b4dead75e79327b?&hl=en (sect4.1)
5. ItÂ’s bad for PAP to set precedence in earning a salary higher then all other world leaders- If Singapore economy - Singaporeans will feel cheated and demoralized- the gov will loose its credibility and chaos will begin.
6. That NS boys lives are worth less then peanuts given that the compensation for death of a svc man is $110K only. http://groups.google.com.sg/group/soc.culture.singapore/msg/655c7687ebb1e95e?hl=en& ; - this meager amount in comparison to a leaders salary will be the source for great demoralization of our army.
7. DisgustingÂ… $1.5M/yr pension for life?- PAP minister gets this?
http://groups.google.com.sg/group/soc.culture.singapore/msg/7151c65dc0ebd239?&hl=en
Still unansweredÂ…
8. PAP has won elections in Singapore by unfair means: this cannot possibly give Singaporeans confidence in the integrity of their gov- the large mandate that PAP may win is even worse- it represents the fact that Singaporeans overlook the justice and fair play- this cannot be good for the future of the unity of Singapore,.
ST- April 20, 2006- - The PAP is a giant wheel rolling over uneven track. The small opposition parties face hurdles, get stuck in mud - http://groups.google.com.sg/group/soc.culture.singapore/msg/04f7bd3f89f85710?hl=en&

Skimmed through your points but absolutely agreed with Point 4
