Eh i thought jus now Media put rally at Hougang tmr, or did i see wrong. Coz tmr is East coast ma, today is hougang....

Just came back from the rally,it is so crowded that the area of at least 2 standard soccer field size were filled with people,i managed to get almost to the front portion where i was at least able to look at the candidates while they speak and when i look behind me,it is all people stretching the way back into the horizon
If i am not wrong,perry tong gave a speech on what WP's alternative plans for health care issue are.
Mohamad Rahizan gave a speech on returning the rights to vote freely and not be intimidated and power to the people
Sylvia Lim spoke more about the issue of heath care rising cost issue and why govt coming policy to deal with the issue is only passing the buck back to the people and in the end will end up with us paying more and more only.
Goh Meng Seng gave a speech on what the PAP has promised all the years but had never fulfilled them and wanted the PAP to give a answer for it on why such promises were not carried out.
Low Thia Kiang spoke on how with good planning,his party were able to help certain blocks get FREE lift upgrading so that lift stop at every floor and how his further plans to extend such upgrading to other blocks were disapproved by one certain dept (should be HDB if i did not remember wrongly) and thus preventing his party from doing what will help singaporeans in his district.Also spoke on how the govt is always using the upgrading issue to get their votes and how he had spoke up for the people in parliment that the govt should not be doing this since the last 2 election and that if the people pay taxes,they are entitled to upgrading as well and that the govt had tried to dodge the issue by saying that it is now a queue system where Hougang will be like at the last of the queue and how it seems now that the queue will always be endless and if Hougang do not vote PAP,upgrading will never be carried out in Hougang.
There were more speeches given than this but i do not understand hokkien or what i think was teochew language that LTK gave his another speech on so can't provide info on this area.
Overall,the speakers gave pretty good speeches and offer some alternative policy to what the govt is doing in the view of helping the people.Can see that there is a overall support for tonight's rally when it ended -

I was at the rally just now. Went there all the way from Woodlands to listen to Mr Low and Ms Sylvia Lim speak. was at the rally coming all the way from jurong to all my support to the WP. the speech made by all members of WP is pretty good. especially LTK who made speeches that can stir up your feeling. how can the PAP brand hougang as a potential slump back in 1991. does they really wish to segregate singapore as those that support the PAP and those that doesnt. is it fair that PAP estate using govt funding to do upgrading where else opposition uses own town council money to do minor upgrading. yet our LAO goh still has the face to say PAP can do it but opposition empty promises. yes but not your money lao goh, it from singaporean money, govt coffers. please say it clearly next time.
