and no wonder why some malaysians are despising singaporeans.Originally posted by Anti-RuleSS:No wonder why some singaporeans hate the malaysians. Now i see why...
What has made you so myopically prejudiced towards Malaysia, and to speculate that those robbers are Malaysians - unscrupulously robbing Malaysians and foreigners alike (not necessarily Singaporeans only) ?Originally posted by Anti-RuleSS:Those malaysian robbers were idiots. Why can't they find a decent job rather than rob others money off? So lazy, all they want was easy money. Good for them, gain more bad karma seeds and their next life will be damn miserable...People work so hard to earn those money yet they just rob it away. Making others life so difficult. Damn them!
You will probably appreciate the Malaysian Police more when you can "fix" a speed ticket and not accumulate any points that will cause you to be barred from driving.Originally posted by Anti-RuleSS:Malaysia police are really useless.

ya i remember that too lol i was like wtfOriginally posted by HENG@:i guess police in USA aren't much better either. Never forget that case in hollywood, where 2 men armed with AK-47s with HV armour piercing rounds, body armour, and a high munitions capacity held up a bank, and then nonchantly had a shoot out with police. Police standard issue handguns couldn't penetrate the robbers' body armour and the robbers didn't even need to take cover. Their AKs with HV AP rounds totally rendered whatever little cover the cops had useless. I remember the newsreel, the terrified faces of those cops who suddenly realised the brick building they were hiding around the corner from the robbers, was useless, as HV AP rounds tore thru the brick like butter. In the end they needed to go to this civilian gun store and borrow 5 semi auto civilian version M16s to have a chance of penetrating the robbers' body armour. Luckily nobody was killed, but it took a few hours before the robbers surrendered(because they ran out of ammo)
Malaysians and Singaporeans - what is the difference except for the nationalistic label.Originally posted by casefan:There are malaysian FTs/quitters in this forum..... masquerading as Singaporeans.
These will defend their own kind to no end.
i saw a sign at LAX(los angeles airport) that says: please unload all firearms before boardingOriginally posted by HENG@:i guess police in USA aren't much better either. This is a case of not being prepared or maybe, not expecting it.Originally posted by HENG@:i guess police in USA aren't much better either. Terror group busted
By WONG CHUN WAI and LOURDES CHARLES
KOTA KINABALU: A new terrorist group suspected of planning attacks on several neighbouring countries has been uncovered following the arrest of 12 men.
The recent capture of members of the Indonesian radical group, Darul Islam, was the Malaysian policeÂ’s biggest success against terrorism since their crackdown five years ago on Kumpulan Militan Malaysia (KMM) which had links with the Jemaah Islamiah terror network.
The Darul Islam group, comprising mainly Indonesians, had at least two locals.
The 12 detained were nabbed off the coasts of Sandakan and Tawau following months of police surveillance.
The police had learnt that several members of the group would be in “transit” in Malaysia while on their way to neighbouring countries, sources said.
“It was hard work. The Malaysian police had been tracking their movements over the last six months. Then they moved in to smash the militant group before it could carry out its plans. It’s certainly one of the biggest anti-terrorist successes,” a source revealed.
The source said police seized several firearms and documents, including bomb-making instructions downloaded from the Internet.
However, it is not immediately known what the groupÂ’s targets were or when its plans would be executed.
Of the Malaysian militants arrested, one is a religious school teacher who graduated with a degree in Arabic literature from a Syrian university, while the other is a graduate from Universiti Sains Malaysia in Penang.
Their job was to organise lodging, transport and other logistical requirements for the group.
Police are investigating if Darul Islam had links with the Abu Sayyaf terror group based in the southern Philippines and the al-Qaeda movement led by Osama bin Laden who orchestrated the Sept 11, 2001 attacks on the United States.
The Star learnt that at least 11 members of Darul Islam are being held at the Kamunting detention centre in Perak. They have been issued two-year detention orders under the Internal Security Act.
Regional analysts said it was no surprise that police were keeping a keen eye on Sabah in view of its strategic location.
“It is close to the southern Philippines, where terror camps have been set up, and Indonesia,” said one political risk consultant in Singapore.
“Sabah is also important economically. It is a popular international tourist destination, so there is no compromise when it comes to the safety of tourists.
“The police had successfully nailed the group before its members could even plan anything in the area.”
