One of the most stupid posts I read on this forum. When a manager awards a contract, or even when a purchasing clerk issues an order to buy, they do so on behalf of the company, and the contracts are legal binding. If an order is cancelled resulting in heavy penalty, it is only done after the new man find that it would cost the company more to carry on which the contract.Originally posted by drawer:From your above sentence,i know u are not a person who knows how to "make a turn".You are suitable to "carry out order",but not suitable to be in a leader position.
Do u think that if there is a change in leadership, the person in-charge have to follow his former boss?If that is the case,he is not fit to be a leader!!!......And do u think if Abdullah follow Mahathir's plan n built a stupid narrow bridge,he wont encounter any problem including the problem that will arise from Singapore government reluctancy to co-operate with the plan? You are too navie man.
He nearly dried MY's reserveOriginally posted by dragg:mahatair says malaysia has RM300 billion cash and RM300 billion in reserves.
really?
It was when GCT attached the US$1 Billion loan with terms similar to IMF during the 1997 financial crisis that turned Mahathir against Singapore. Abang borrow or take money from Adek there should be no terms attached.Originally posted by sbst275:He nearly dried MY's reserve
That's why back then he had wanted a loan from SG
He is afraid.Originally posted by dragg:he is getting into a war of words with the malaysian government.![]()
Wait a minute, doesnt your word prove that i am right?A person who take the place from his former boss does not neccessary to follow his former boss's decisions n ideas.Originally posted by sgdiehard:One of the most stupid posts I read on this forum. Pak La and his cabinet are certain that to proceed on with the bridge would cost Malaysia more with no benefits, such cancellations simply prove that the original decision was wrong!! respect or no respect to mahathir, but to cancel it a lot of credit certainly go to Pak La and his team.
Even Pak La find it stupid to proceed with the bridge and prepared to pay 100 millions compensation, credit must be given to the singaporean team for not getting in the project at all. What cooperation. Talk about being naive.
Aiyah, Mahathir's attitiude caused it..Originally posted by dragg:malaysia lost a few hundred million just for giving up on the building of the crooked bridge.
He always have words from his mouthOriginally posted by dragg:mahatair said once at the phillipines singapore were asked to contribute an additional US10,000 to a fund. we allegedly refused.
Co Singapore bashing can get supportOriginally posted by dragg:seems like he is bent on going all the way with abdullah.
Such an economic union, I foresee, will unfortunately be only along racial lines, which means that one race(the dominant one in MALAYsia) will benefit, while the rest will be ignored.Originally posted by robertteh:If Singapore can form an economic union with Malaysia, a lot of problem can be solved.
The question is: how to convince both sides to do with for mutual benefits without all the yo-yo-ing for self-centredness reason like happening in the Mahathir era.
An Master Economic Plan for tapping on each other's economic resources for the mutual benefits of both sides will be a good start.
Ad hoc talking and warming of relations between both sides can help but both sides should get down to brasstacks if they want to derive long-term benefits from such cooperation.
