then may be, may be we can know the real performance of temasek and GIC and wheather we really have the billions of reserves as claimed by the current gov. -
Let's see. I predict the following:
- Electric tariff to increase, due to oil prices increasing
- Transport companies to increase fares, cause they want more profits
- Food imports to be more expensive generally due to rising fear of bird flu
- ITE/poly/uni fees to be increased. Cut in subsidies.
- TV licence fee to up, cause Mediac*** need more money to produce "better-quality" shows.
- Foreign "talent" criteria loosen, allow more "talent" to come in.
- Higher percentage of basic wage tied to company and individual performance. Only half month bonus for all at the end of the year.
- Charity shows to return by the dozen.
- Durai get scot-free.
- SARS make return, CPF contribution to be further cut to ensure job market remain competitive.
- Newspaper prices to be increased.
- Education system to be further "tweaked". Now will allow "genius" to jump levels.

Obviously all prices will go up and I tell you everything is going up. The prices of oil has gone up to US$75 per barrel a few days ago. Once fuel price goes up, everything goes.

inflation is link to the basic needs of our live...and if the GST is a revenue to govt...it is the cost to the people or end-users of the services or goods. -

fr 2001 onwards,
-transport fare increased and fine and jail for fare cheater who cheat few cents while transport companies cheat public money can go scot free without any punishment given
-ez link fare increased
-GST increased
-medical cost increased
-PUB increased
-telephone bill increased
-University fee and school fee increased
-Rental fee for shop increased
-tax increased

All approved by our dear ruling party except a deduction of their own salary. All mention above are control by ruling party.
So many pathetic shop owner has closed down bcos PUB bill and rental fee high. By encouraging alot of pple to keep on set up biz jst to collect high rental fee fr them or else a loss of salary fr them. Greedy nvr stop and wan more more blood and sweat fr the public.
u can see the pattern mention above. From 2006 onwards, I can confirm everything shoot skyhigh and they will give out more progress package to overcome these increase crisis, haha, isn't this money came from the tax, fine and gst they collect fr us. And there is always interview by media that some pple always say:" i dun mind increased, as long as service improved." The moment u say this words, u fall into their trap. Bcos service did not improved but still the same or even worst. But pay more money for it. Call them, press 1 for english, press 2 for chinese , press 3 and wait long long.....and waste twice the money to reclaim money back. -

Totally agree with that on those who voted PAP into power. They don't have the right to complain, they should cheer and display banners showing their support on the increases. rem the stupid transport hike? Suddenly came up with some "genious" formula(cannot rem it off hand) which is used to calcuate the justification for increase during "good economy"...i was wondering why they didn come up with it earlier during the crisis like SARs and lower the transport charges!
now they tell you oil barrel increasing, and even copper price has hit all time high...even better excuese to say tpt charge increase...sigh
