PAP fighting hard to keep their huge salaries?

The front page of the Straits Times may as well read as 'PAP Ministers and MP's will fight up coming elections to keep their high salaries?' Thats what all this politicians strike me as only being interested in. The lucky MP that gets a walkover, I bet you the first thing that comes into his or her head is 'My monthly MP allowance$ x 12months x 3-4years'. Wah can go buy another car or condo already. Mortgage payments well taken care of for the next couple of years. Nobody really gives a damn about the man on the street. Its all to do with how much will we earn.
We should ask the walkover MPs to forgo half their salaries. Lets see then how dedicated they would be exactly in serving their constitutens! -
I have another idea.
Since most of us have singpass, i am sure its easy to write a voting software to allow us to vote for the salary and bonuses of the MPs.
But of cos, that is NEVER going to happen as that type of voting software must be too advance and complicated for the first world scholars in IDA to write. -
The MP allowances is only the gauranteed minimum. After appointment as MP, some may be placed in public listed company as "Directors". Can manage or cannot manage, no problem. Ask some of the young new faces MP if they have the experience to manage public listed companies?
Ask them to be full time MP alone to serve the residents lor....

the PAP MP in my area does not deserve a walkover. i was hoping to see a fight between the comedian and a opposition MP. He's going to enjoy another $11k allowance a month for the next 3-4 years. I dont think he really deserves it.

yes, i agree that there should be a cap on their salaries. And if they need the experiences of commercial or government positions, then let those jobs be salary-free for them and their MP's pay be the sole salary.

Just pay them 1k per month then you can see whether they serve the singaporeans well and whether they still want to join the pap....Is all about money.......

i think depending or their portfolio, their salary should be between $8000 to $10,000. Having a cap (to all drawn allowances, claims etc) to max. $10,000.
Remember that a professor in univ gets paid ard 6k to 10k. CEO's and GMs, directors, etc earn more than that. -
LOL, i don't think they will want 8k to 10k, they want more than that...Serving singaporeans well are all bullshit, they are just looking over their pocket like we are.......Can't blame them though, who won't love to make more money? LOL

i think depending or their portfolio, their salary should be between $8000 to $10,000. Having a cap (to all drawn allowances, claims etc) to max. $10,000.

Yes, i agree that they should be more patriotic and sort of "volunteer" rather than for the money...that why i said that their salaries should be capped. (See my previous post). -
