Parliamentary Sittings - why no live telecasts?

With live telecasts, Singaporeans can see if their MP is doing his job or there just to sign in his attendance or worst not even there.

In any parliment session, everyone has to be present
As for live telecast, in the afternoon, most are at work still

Then why hold in the afternoon? For every sitting, all should be present. At times, many of the seats are vacant. Live telecasts will give us an idea of how hard our MPs are working for us and our concerns. Afternoon is simple, in the evening the MP do need to attend their MTP sessions -
Got live telecast, only during the swearing in. Yes, in the evening too so that more ppl can watch the live telecast... President shaking hands with the appointed cabinet ministers.

How about broadcasting as recorded webcast?
Is that too complicated to achieve for a first world gov? -
they can easily just record and upload onto the webpage or somethign for downloading. but no, they do not want to, or are fearful of pple spotting their errors

yeah... at least when malaysia parliament convenes... its live. and so grand too.... from the arrival of the secretaries of the parliament to the arrival of the king.... simply luv the procession.

I think its because there isn't demand for live broadcasts. It's not like in the US where they have C-Span which covers politics 24/7.
Speaking for myself, unless something interesting is being debated (like the Casino issue) Paliamentary Highlights (after the nightly news) is kind of boring. Of course, it could be they edited out the interesting bits.

If they broadcast live, you could see many sleeping eyes. Some also blurr like sotong, do not have the answers on the spot mah.. So cannot lah..

maybe they have grudge matches just like the koreans and the taiwanese, so must censor.
