Political party go to church

  just wondering is it wrong for a political party to go to a house of worship and get the leaders to support them.
  I was amazed when they walk in.

  Wrongly utilising the church for one's own motives.
  
  Unless he was a clergyman send from church into politics.
  
  But i doubt that much.
