I think the PAP ministers are the pathetic. Here are a few example,
a) Progress Package
What progress are they taking about? Are they going to continue giving out ang pao every year from now on, or is this just an expensive PR event by PAP?
b) Is this black mailing or what?

Two mega oil projects hinge on polls: PM He urges voters to send the right signal as political risks will count in Shell, ExxonMobil's decisions
What political risk are we talking about? Is he implying that by having a few more seats for the opposition party, Shell and Exxon will change billion dollar investment? So what if they do? is the OIL money so important that we should all shut up and not have a voice?
c) Mah Pow Tan challange on HDB Price
If singapore wants to provide low cost housing for Singaporean, then why is our government charging so much for the land which belongs to Singaporean? -
d) Can Chiam's men be trusted?: Teo Chee Hean
Can Mrs Goh be trusted? Can NKF be trusted? Last but not least, can we trust the government that they will not collect back the progress fund after the election is over? (My guess is that SMRT fare is gonna go up after the GE)
I think Singaporeans will trust PAP more if we have more opposition party isnt it? -

I think PAP needs to come out with more interesting things than to keep talking about HDB upgrading? I believe the younger generation of people are no longer interested to be upgraded from one HDB to another HDB. In order for a political system to be stable it will need to have a balance of power. NKF saga is a reminder for singaporeans that you cant take things for granted. -
Should we sympathise with those who are blackmailed? Or rather, is that anything new? What other democracy on this planet empowers a party to make use of taxpayers' money to 'buy' votes(think upgrading which started in '97 to your Progress Package this time around)? However, if a vast majority - and supposedly well-educated - of the electorate decide to return Fascists to power on their own free will due to such short-sighted enticements(evidently, they haven't been educated enough to learn that their cost of living and countless complains - stemming from all sorts of fee, fare, tax hikes - are intrinsically linked to politics), should we really sympathise with them? If people are convinced one-party rule is the way to go and choose to do their darndest to ensure the present status quo remain, I suppose those hypocrites(ie.clowns who vote for PAP yet whine and moan over the slightest things from fare hikes in public transport to increase in GST) should just shut up and live with the consequences of their action. That's their just dessert anyway.
I suppose the only victims in the whole process are the ones whose interests are compromised as a result of the action of those hypocrites living in our midst. As Churchill once said, "the inherent virtue of socialism is the equal sharing of misery" - just curse your luck for living in the midst of such a society.
Hmm..in case anyone needs reminding and decide to vote blindly, maybe they should just take note that there hasn't been an increase in cigarette prices and public transport fares this year - on top of that, the government has even generously dished out some appetizer called 'Progress Package'. Wondering if the status quo will somehow be restored(in layman terms, whether what you get from the Progress Package will be sufficient to cover the increase in fares, taxes and what not over the next 5 years) after the elections... Then again, I would hardly be surprised that there'll still be enough muppets out there who genuinely believe Singapore is transforming into the paradise God had intended to compensate for its inherent lack of natural resources that come polling day, the votes will invariably be chanelled in one direction disproportionately... -

Common lah, election campaigning for PAP ministers are just wayang show lah. On a normal day, they are all leading a life like king in their million dollars district 9 and 10 bunglow. For OP, they have to probably work like a dog and make sure PAP dont sue them for not picking up their dogs poo -
I've yet to hear from both sides (the First-class and No-class candidates) how will rising oil prices impact business costs and prices on consumer goods, electricity, utilities, transport, etc.
When such concerns are not discussed by the candidates, it's telling about their real calibre.

I wont be sure that right after the GE, PM Lee will head back to the ministry of finance to check what is their total deficit from the GE, and then he will start to ask his generals and soldiers to come up with recovery plans.
