Let there be more oppositions in the cabinet to pressure them. Look at the few oppositions that were out numbered by PAP in the cabinet during last 5 years. LHL is not obliged to declare his stock option income as these are this private financial affairs.
But we should have a more transparent system in which Public figures have to make public their IRAS returns.
This is to prevent public figures acting in their own interest.
How are we to know that LHL have "additional" information on the stock option he holds?
Are those companies in which he holds stock option totally independant from him?
Some countries even forbid heads of government or public figures to exercise their stock option and to surrender stock options to public trustee befoer taking up their appointment. -
