Possible for WP to win in AMK

A PAP victory in AMK is a given, so think all people.
Therefore, some will think, ‘It doesn’t matter how I vote. PAP will win anyway.’
It is estimated that a challenger will at least get 20% of the votes.
What is then needed is for 31%, comprising of
- those who are swayed by the rhetoric,
- those who cast sympathy vote for the WP.
- those who think their vote do not matter.
It is possible, it has happened in Palestine.
There is a remote possibility that LSL could be voted out. -

I am not a PAP supporter but i think its quite unlikely.....
unless the gomez affair backfires on them. -
If WP wins in AMK, next election i also go and stand for election.

I think what would be interesting is not whether PAP will win or not.
It's a matter of how much margin PAP would lose.
If PM Lee is not able to garner more than 95% votes, what does it tell you? -

Lets just suppose, the opposition eventually does win. What do you think the scenarios is going to be like??

if lhl losses then it's really bad because wong ks will step up and this guy is the enforcer of the pap, ultra conservative and hostile. it seems to me there's a split within the pap, the younger ministers like vivian who is opposed to linking the upgrading carrot to votes are not speaking out.....
also the pap is worried the attack on gomez is starting to look like indian bashing and so got a singh to tell the 'wayang' story to soften that perception. pap is losing its plot here.....i'm afraid folks are seeing this as political bullying..... -
AMK PM Lee sure win in that side , but if WP happens to grap 30% votes , PM Lee will be worry at the future . 40% is going to kill PM Lee .

Provided PAP improves on issues a lot of people are sour about, they'd continue to lose votes each GE. Until eventually, supporters for oppositions are more than for them.
I know they will surely win this round, but don't count on their future votes in future elections - unless they really improve.
I heard from a middle aged housewife while queing in a bank, right out of her mouth; "I know PAP sure win one.. but I will still vote for opposition so that they know they didn't do a good job and try to improve." -
I hope that few youngsters can get a 30%....
If they get 40%, i tell you....PAP will panic already...
Maybe they change the constitution to 1 election every 100 years.
Or make Singapore into 1 big 88-seat GRC.... -

I try to paint a scenario where the opposition wins...
Everyone thinks pap will win AMK , but a significant portion of people say 51% are utterly disgusted with PAP's character assasination tatics. They didnt want to unseat the PM and none of them expect PAP to lose. Everyone thinks PAP will win, but Voila opposition wins! -
