OK. Lets have a frank disscusion here. Since our govt policies on us Singaporeans don't please us, how many of u people actualy intend to stay on in Sg (stayers) or actualy plan to migrate overseas to settle down (quitters). Feel free to disscuss.

i want to stay. i really want to stay, so while if i need to go overseas for this and that, ill come back at the end of the day.

I do not have the $$ to migrate but if they govt keep using their top down approach,not wanting to listen to their people and not giving us the true freedom of choice in elections,it really push me more and more toward to become a quiter.

I am a mercenary, who goes where the money can be earned.
Be it Singapore or somewhere else
To me, Singapore is just a company, I can jump ship anytime if I find a better offer. There is no nationalistic spirit (its not worth a $ anyway).
And like my brother said, if there ever is a war, do we want to protect Singapore? Will we want to protect a 'leader' whom (1) is not elected by me, (2) takes so much money from us and sacrifice my life for such a leader?
Doubt so. I will be the first to run if I see Singapore getting unstable.
For those nationalistic people, feel free to condemn me. I don't have any sense of belonging to this country. It wasn't my country to begin with. It has always been the Lee country, where having me or not makes no difference -

why do u need money to migrate? well u need a bit to start u off but no need so much lah..
i will migrate...but dunno for how long...just for a change of environment...
i dont regard myself as a quiter...i have a good job...good pay...no debts except for car installment...no HDB flat...im just bored...i know lots of ppl migrate to australia..so i apply for the PR..... i think its good to try out overseas...u live once only...and da earth is a big freaking place...why restrict urself to one country?? -

But when I saw Glenda Han coming back, I felt so ashamed of myself before when I wanted to migrate and made plans saved money etc. Like that if the next country also no good, I will run again until I finally end up in Heaven then I become stayer.
Even if Lee country also don't care. I serve Singapore, not him. He also serve Singapore, don't expect us to serve him.
My sense of belonging is here not only becos my family, friends, career are here. Also becos there're pple like Chia Ti Lik, Yaw Shin Leong, LTK, Chiam See Tong, Khaw Boon Wan, Tharman Shanmugaratnam.
