Personally I feel that this GE is a victory for the OP.
Despite the millions $$ that PAP took out to buy vote, residents in potong pasir and hougang still vote for with their heart and mind. This is wake up call for PAP because it proves that upgrading and million dollar carrot does not give you votes anymore. Not even if you throw in heavy weight like SM Goh to contest against SDA and WP.
The result at the Aljunied GRC is pretty shocking to me. If Gomez has play his card right, I think WP might win. AMK is also a disappointing result for LHL, if you consider WP consist of very young candidate.
Personally I think that this GE is a turning point for PAP, and they will have to change their big brother suppressing approach to win vote. LHL speech about Fixing OP is definitely a slap on PAP face.
Internet is now a big threat to the government and if PAP continues to use bias information through newspaper and TV, it will only back fire. They will have to remember that the younger generation doesnÂ’t rely on traditional media for information anymore.
I am very happy with this GE result because this shows that there is hope for OP and as long as the OP are not like CHEE, they will definitely get a vote.
