Cost of Living in Singapore

Now that elections are over, I'm guessing that plans to hike public fees and maybe even GST will be implemented in due time. Anyone else thinks so?

Ok put it another way. In view of LHL's promise to look into cost of living issues, will PAP supporters still be ok with say a GST hike to 7% in the not too distant future?

If they wanna increase the transport cost, make sure they improve on the service and frequency first

Before they improve these 2 points... they will increase cost first. Why? At the end of the day, it has become a commercial entity.. they hv to answer to the shareholders. Does profits ring a bell to u?

In fact their service became worse after the last price hike

pap's reply to the water consversation tax was that implementing it prevents people from wasting water!! makes u think twice before u on the tap due to the high pub bill cost that includes all these sub charges to curb us from over using. More money crashing scare tatic to control us. ( similar to thier COE and flat balloting and stuff) Uquniely Singapore indeed!!!

Everything can be "justified". I expect a hike in coming months and there will be justifications.

As predictable as the sun will rise in the East, and set in the West, prices will go up! GST, no doubts.
Now all who voted will just bear with it for the next 5 friggin' years...
