Lower The Cost Of Living

now that PAP has gotten the strong mandate that they relished what are the things that they should or can do to lower the standard of living?
for a start i think they should remove the water conservation tax. -

you should be happy if the cost of living remain constant,i really doubt they will implement any populistic policy since they claim they have a strong mandate.
However maybe they may consider easing the rules for who get subsidies so that those who really cannot keep up and really needed help could be targeted better.
The PAP after this election may have known that it is this particular segment of the lowest income bracket who are really turning against them,so maybe they will channel more resources to help this particular group -
the PM said that he will look into the high cost issue.
let's see if anything materialize. -
Why it can only rise... there seems to be a hidden agenda to make life as difficult as possible for Singaporeans although the rhetoric is otherwise. If Singapore is a nuetral instead of a welfare state; life would not be so difficult. Singapore under the PAP is an opprsive state. Singaporeans are subject to oppression as government policy.
When the economy was down, salaries were cut across the board through CPF cuts.The promise of restoration was bogus. -
if the cost of living continue to rise the govt will lose more votes in the next election.

Retrench the excess civil servants, mps and ministers (take one out of every 3). Sell off the grand buildings owned by the various ministries and statutory boards, eg move back to still vacant offices at Bukit Merah vacated by HDB.
Work on how to cut costs instead of spending time “fixing the opposition members”.
You want government to continue to work like Robin Hood to tax the riches (cigates, wines, cars, petrol, TV & radio, water borne fee), and give to the poor (progress package?). -

Mind you, those taxes affects the mid and low incomer earner more then the rich, the rich have too much cash to be bothered by those taxes.

If they want to increase GST, which I believe they will shortly, then just as Chiam had said; exempt GST on Milk Powder, Healthcare, & other basic daily needs that will help people (LOCAL PEOPLE!) live their lives and produce babies.
And by the way - THROW AWAY THAT DAMN STUPID MEDSIAFE IDEA!!!!

sorry, the progressive package $$ given out is not for free....
look at how PAP gave out the carrort in potong pasir n hougang..its also not free, cos they expect u pple to vote for them..
in PAP world, there's no free lunchie, even for a drop of water from the sky!!..watever they give u, they will wan it back.principal plus interest..

Singapore.pte.co shares would be eaten by Dublieu.Pea.op or some other op if they don't realise Singaporeans are harder to satisfy with the lack of improvement in the cost of living.
