Francis Seow was a former Solicitor-General of Singapore.He was a fellow at Harvard University at last count.
Another little known fact about J.B.Jeyaratnam is that he was the Head Registrar of the Subordinate Courts before Singapore became independant.He was also a Senior District Judge too. -

If you look at history of the political dissidents or even that of the political opposition you will realise that we are talking about men with solid credentials and excellent academic qualification. Men who were judged to be able to hold high office. However once they take on the position of opposition they become dishonest liars,cheat and what not. How the hell they were chosen to hold their previous position shows the poor judgement of the people/system that appointed them in the first place. That itself should insult the intelligence of the educated people. Overnight, I'm a morphed from being a judge,lawyer,lecturer, to a cheat, liar and idiot...damn the opposition, they are such a bad influence on me....LOL

Or I forgot to add "history is always written by the people in power". As long as its the same people in power, history to will slowly but slowly be altered. Read the history of Singapore, starting from the historical records in Malaysia and up the the latest school text books and you will see what I mean. It would not take long before we have our very own "freedom figher" who the orginal historical records might call "opportunist" or a "covert resistance fighter" who was just working for the Japanese. All this has happen and Japan and China are still arguing over what actually happened. But then we have no one who will argue with us...

I just finished Chee's "your future, my faith, our freedom".
Who has read it before?
I had the impression that Chee was a "mad lunatic" until I read it. (Oh well, he still is LOL, he has got to conduct himself better)
In my opinion, this book is biased to a certain extent. But a lot of his arguments are justified and he even proposed sound solutions. My verdict? This guy is a PATRIOT, no doubt. Read it pls, for those who haven't, to get a perspective from the flip side of the coin.
For you PAP supporters, (informed or ignorant ones) the day will beckon where we reach the year of 2035 to 2045, where you will see peanuts in your CPF for retirement due to high (and unjustified) HDB prices. You will regret your vote of 2006 and beyond. -
Everyone should read books written by any politician here, and get a balanced point of view.
