Ok..lets talk about tactics and strategies...try to concentrate on singapore's tactics but maybe others too.........anythink..blitzkrieg,flank attack,echelon attck..juz give ur ideas..but it will be interesting if anyone really haf any strategies or tactics for an invasion of malaysia...

i dont think this is a good idea... since it might tip malaysia off on singapore plans...

as far as i concern... singapore have the manpower, techonology and capability to adopt many diverse strategy and tactics.... to keep MAF guessing for a long long time.

what i am concern is the SAF and national current extreme lack in biological and chemical defence.

i am also concern of the rise in bio-terrorism and our permission to allow american basing in country... which could end up baiting the bio-terrorist.

SAF is a defence force, *NOT* an aggressor. It is there to deter any invasion, and protect our way of life.

Conflicts are best solved by diplomacy if possible. Cause war is *NOT* a game of Lazer Quest or PaintBall, where you walk away unharmed. Lifes will be lost.

We do *NOT* have any intentions to invade Malaysia or anybody. This thread is best stopped here.

Nope. It is an unacknowledged fact that Singapore will attack when its interests are at stake. One true weakness of Singapore is that it lacks strategic depth. We cwon't retreat cos we cant. cannot retreat, so attack.

To attack, u need to take into account a lot of considerations. The economics, the politics and relations with other economies. Need a lot of money to go to war. Not really worth it unless the ruler is really power ambitious.

Problem is, how would such biological agents be deployed? Countries around us are fairly independent on produce such as meat, and vegetables. In fact Singapore imports from them.

Send them through water pipes? If the bacteria is traced to the water, God knows the political consequences.

delivering the agent is too damn easy.... all you need to do is shake a few dozen malaysian farmers hand with your hand laced with the appropriate virus or bacteria...

the virus and bacteria wont kill you... but will slowly and surely... devastate enormous plantation and farms that comes into contact by the famers and other farmers that shakes their hands.

before the situation becomes an epidemic and malaysia is banned from internation trade.. its people starving and in open revolt... its govt fell into disgrace and removed from power.....blah blah blah blah...

you will be taking a cool sip of fruit punch on the beach on the bahamas.... eye balling the beautiful girls nude on the beach... hahahaaaa...... for a long long time liow.

..... problem with this strategy....... ITS irreversible.... the damage is long term... it could mean that a nation could be devastated for decades... before signs of recovery could be seen.... if there is still anyone left to see it...

methods of delivery is varied and mostly undetectable... they could be carried on migrating birds... insects or even air borned.....

Its untraceable.... close to impossible...to trace...

the damage is horrendous...... a few virus... a colony of bacteria.... and its damage is equivalent to thoudsands of nukes.

Its uncontrollable... the control is limited at best.... it could easily cross borders and hit friendly nations as well.

Its hard to stop.... in fact.... its nearly unstoppable... depending on how the microbiologist design it... eg. high mutation rate or pleomorphic.

Its apocalyptic.... the plague once released... could end up killing the whole bloody world.

But microbes tend to mutate. They mutate differently under different conditions. So how can one ever control them? Only mad men like me would ever use such dangerous weapons in war or competition. =D

Yes... microbes tend to mutate... in fact... most of the time.... all the microbes and viruses are mutating.... but the mutation was curtailed by environmental forces.

but my opinion is that... given time... with man's ingenuity... it is my belief that such problems could be solved and handled to our benefits.

in fact... in view of the threat possed to humans in day to day affair with the bacterias inccessant urge to mutate.... biotechnology could be the one and only line of defence against a sudden outbreak of epidemic, whether by chance or by the hands of human hands....

Our resouces need not be contributed towards destruction... it could be directed towards containment of outbreak and decontamination of affected areas...

I believe that such is neccessary to protect the lifes of singaporeans.... enable the economy to run smoothly and keep the man fighting fit..

Talking about fighting fit.... SAF's idea has been big muscles and more muscles.... however.... SAF failed to relize that... with biological warfare..... Big muscles is just a bigger corpse.

Go & find out more about military power of different countries if u can. It will assure that the fact will make u think otherwise. Cos Singapore military power are widely recognised by military experts to be among the best in the region. But for M'sia...it just don't deserve such respect.

Relax man.... I understand how you feel. I would also be as angry as you if i hear these shit about my country. I'm a Singaporean but i don't have any special hatred for Malaysia anymore. (last time got)
I understand how you feel but you got to understand that the Singapore Armed Forces is indeed superior to the Malaysian Armed Forces. This is recognised by countries all around the world. Even if the United States offers to upgrade the 8 RMAF F/A18D into F standard and also offer to help form a complete squadron, it would be useless against our specially configured F16D 'Spine', which is superior to the RMAf F/A18 in terms of numbers and capability.

What i really think is that the Singapore and Malaysian government should work side by side, hand in hand and fight against terrorism. We are related geographically and historically and we should be great allies! Terrorism is not very active in SEA but they are out there! Look at Channelnewsasia and you guys will understand how wide Osama's link is; around the globe! Take a look at the terrorist attack on U.S WTC towers... it came unsuspected, unpredicted. Its so sudden. We must not say that it won't happen to Singapore, it MAY. If terrorist activities is being spotted up north into Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia in the south or Philippines, Singapore can play a major role, if we form an Alliance. our large inventory of UAV, RF5S can be used as reccon platforms. With our well units like the Guards Battalions (FIBUA), Commandoes (long-term reccon and sabbotage attack in jungle), our strike aircrafts meerging with the Malaysian soldiers, F/A18 strike aircrafts, it can be a powerful assault force rite. If we join with Thailand, it can be even more deadly, coz we conducted many exercises with them. Theres a bond between us.

Sincerely, this is what i feel. The FPDA is weak ( I think ). A new alliance is needed e.g Singapore, Malaysia, thailand, brunei and Philippines. Maybe our government is thinking about this right now...Hee....
