Civil servants and ministers pay too high?

I was a civil serpent (oops.. servant) before. My pay was about $4000 after working for a few years. I heard that to get such pay in the private sector you have to work like a horse. My superior called me lazy and i think I deserved it . Haha. Got a D for grading once.
To be more serious, are civil servants paid too high? The pay comes from the taxpayers money. And is the civil service highly inefficient?
Ministers' pay should be pegged to the pay of China's commuist party, since Singapore is governed in a similar concept to China, just that Singapore's economy is more free.
Ministers serve the country and they should not put money first. Else, they may lose touch with the commoners.
Who is ruling Singapore, MM and SM?
Actually, Singapore is not bad as a country, at least it is more peaceful than many other countries. The laws are good, except for ISA.
Will I be sued for this post? -
Having temporarily lived in many countries throughout my life, including Singapore for 9 years, I think Singapore has one of the best civil service.
Personally I don't think the pay civil servants are getting is too high. Rather than cutting the pay, I think it would be better for everyone if the level of service is increased though trainings and workshops on customer service (if necessary at all).
I am from Indonesia and the rampant corruptions from local officials to those in the central government is mind blowing. I think Singaporeans should consider themselves very lucky having a government that actually cares for the welfare and well being of its citizen. I am certain that there are many people out there that silently wished they were Singaporeans (I am one of them). -

Please don't ask for lowly paid officers. Lowly paid or even controlled pay will corroded one characters when he had to pay for his car, house and children's playground.
Don't ask for them, I don't wish to see more.
Go for high and uncontrolled pay for better and cleaner future. -

Make sure go for high post only. Low post now no as simple as before. Many had went thru and some are going thru restructuring, I heard.
Lower ranking officers had a lot of previleges under control now such as overtime etc. Hence, make sure buy luxury when you can afford to. Maintain your good characters and that is the minimum.

That why I say no to go for low ranking civil servants. Their pay is no high and then now overtime being capped some more for some.

I am agreeable to paying high salary to ministers that actually doing their work.
If the Perm Sec are doing the job, then split the minister salary and give it to the Perm Sec.
Singapore is still not brave and fair to remove Ministers that cannot perform to the standard. -

no matter how good they are a 100k salary is ridiculous. it works out to be more than 3000 dollar a day. -

in fact only those high up, both the civil and private sector, gets good remuneration. -
Dun worry lah.
Singaporeans have been stupid for the last 40 years and will continue to be stupid for the next 40 years in paying high and ridiculous price for staying and moving around in Singapore.
So, if you are too stupid and busy in clearing your debts, where got time to complain ?
The huge sum of money per month will keep the smart people stressed in how to spend the money and no time to corrupt. -
Not all civil servants are paid highly. And to ask such questions show that you might not even be one or just a person out to add fire to other civil servants. Even if you are one who is paid 4k , your position would have already made you aware of the obligations that come with it which obviously you are not aware of. Some businessmen make obscene profit from Singaporeans and yet nobody complain. On the other hand, always like to pick on civil servants and their average pay. No doubt, there are some slackers in the civil service that don't deserve their pay. This happens in all organisations. However, in general, I don't see civil servants being overpaid. I don't think that they are disproportionately well-off for any given years of working experience.

Most of the gov sectors' people are overpaid. One of my friend working in Navy, a sergeant.
He told me his job is very switch-off. If there's no duty for sea patrolling; he would just report to office at 8am for some paper work and about 10am, he will find a secret place to sleep until lunch time. After lunch, he will continue to sleep or play games with his colleages. Wow....wonderfully life....isn't it?
Some of his colleages are also idling around doing fark-off most of the time.

great that you know civil sector pay is high.
i hope i am wrong , but from what i judge, probably you are from the SAF. coz SAF has alot of highly paid personnel with average working atitude, mostly lazy, average equipment knowledge and low in general knowledge.
but on the otherhand, i dont complain why? i dont enjoy life in there. -
