PAP unable to "win back" the Hougang and Potong Pasir

Why is it so difficult for the PAP to win back the two opposition wards? Is it because the opposition MPs are really really good to their ppl in their wards.
We heard of Mr Chiam paying visit to every funeral in his ward and so on...... is it really true?
Maybe because of this they love him so much? To for-go the upgrading carrot.
Or maybe because the opposition wards realized that it is no big deal NOT to be under the PAP?
What do you guys think? -
Although its a nice gesture, the last thing i want is a MP to attend some relatives funeral

It allows the Residents of PP to wield their ballot, and show other Singaporeans the Power of the Ballot.
The Residents of PP has the satisfaction of not succumbing to the POWER OF ONE. -

If many do not know, Mr Sitoh does have a weekly 'MTP' session with PP residents. Oftenly, his queue is many many times longer than CST's. Some nights it can stretch up till 1am yet he never rejects seeing anyone who wants to see him -
only residents from these wards can give you a good answer.

He called himself as a believer of buddhism.
Yet he don't even understand the teaching of “cxo vur dang kiou woo gihn” even since he know there is an evil man existed.
“Eliminate evil must complete with all resource” He mentioned he believed “good man will have good reward”. My knowledge on buddhist teaching no very good. But I believed Mr Chiam must be a very good kind hearted man in his previous life. Hence, this life he can be evil but difficult to eliminate.

well at least it shows to the world that our opposition candidates are credible people.....if not they won't have won the two seats........anyway chiam and low were good oppositions to show the world........not rabid clowns likeyou know who.......anyway shan't talk too much abt politics least they check your IP address .........

because PAP doesn't give the people their dignity whereas the opposition MPs do. Have they continued to listen to the people after the election ?
They just cooked up some "policy" and put it on the press for people to know that they do work.
That is all.
I am not interested in getting a fake handshake and a bottle of NEW water from my MP surrounded by a bunch of puppies. -

MPs dun go around???
Look, we can have f-t MPs, but when they go around in the afternoons ppl are mostly at work
Weekends, they also have their own families -
I worry come next GE, they will remove PP and Hougang just like Cheng San GRC and Eunos GRC. Last few elections I voted PAP but now I changed becous PAP are too arrogant, they just demolish the opponents (strong one like Francis Seow, JBJ, Tang Liang Hong, Chee Soon Juan) and the recent one Gomez, because these opponents are good oratory speakers which I think PAP candidates cant fight with them. For now I will support the oppositions until PAP change their attitude, if I have problems I wont find the MP in the meet the ppl session becos they cant help us, they can write letters only, which I know how to write only, all the laws are already fixed by the parliament, so they cant help us, they only can write letter on behalf of us to the relevant authority, so no point queue up few hours to see them.Originally posted by Medicated Oil:Have your MP come to your house and thank you for supporting them after the election ?

There are cases where ppl say they are jobless, no income, yet they still spend money on watching movie that cost $9 already
