20% you pay out of whatever you make your whole life. You wind up with a 25 to 30 year home mortgage.Originally posted by king108:I fully agree with the minister saying that low waged worker wishes to have more cash. I strongly agreed to this point.
I checked my old payslip..worker still paying 20% right, the employer is only 16%. Am I right or am I wrong about it. Anyone can correct me, appreciated.
Hence only by reducing the worker's CPF contribution then it will allow them to bring back more cash isn't it. Wouldn't it be better to have zero contribution for the worker so that they can bring all the cash back.
For the high wage officer, maybe can consider going back to 20% contribution since they don't need so much cash.
I studied no much..maybe I am wrong..![]()

Please don't scold me..a pig
it is very straightforward. you can do anything except depending on them and withdrawing your cpf before your time is up.Originally posted by ShutterBug:20% you pay out of whatever you make your whole life. You wind up with a 25 to 30 year home mortgage.
How is there anything left when you retire??? Provided of course, that you don't get retrenched along the way and end up settling for a lesser paying job and don't fall ill before retirement age.
Most people towards 40 years of age, will have developed something for keeps already; diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and what nought. HOW, is there any savings, and what much help is the CPF Retirement Fund anyway???
The government expects people to take care of themselves with this kind of system?? I see senselessness.
I have a friend who worked all her friggin' life, now at 59 and with diabetes & hypertension (high blood pressure), she was told to wait or let her condition worsen ( to the point where she is bed-ridden) before she approach CPF to use her Retirement Fund earlier for her monthly medications.
Our government BLIND or what??
I think they better replace the Health Minister.Originally posted by king108:Don't scold our government lah..they are seeing it. Maybe I am too fortunate loh..because I am a pig mah..
I never come across so much problem that why I don't know about the medical issue mah. Medical must ask Health Minister, no Minister Lim.
For your friend sickness, take porridge instead of rice, take more vegetable and fish. Other then that, cannot tell unless I know her condition better. Meantime, appreciated to concentrate on this CPF issue, because I wanted to pay my singapore worker more cash to bring back home instead of going into CPF, if any chances. Which is why I am concerned.![]()

The latest Medisave scheme - $300 per year (if not enough take your family member's one - *dumb* after that neighbor's one??) - pay for WHAT???
You go check how much the average cost of medicine for diabetes and hypertension. God damn stupid! not even enough to pay a freelance hooker for service!!
WTF!

I know NKF is very important..but I am only touching on small issue like CPF only. Please talk big big topic in a more important thread leh..

This thread cannot handle that kind of problem..This one only let the worker bring home an extra $360 per month. Just like the kid in the Mcdonald advertisement, maybe you swinging down, for them definitely be a up swinging.![]()

20% employee contribution,13% employer contribution for 35 years old and below.
16% ? u wait long long...
btw,u mention 20% for high wage earner in employer contribution? so u mean employer shd contribute more cpf to high income earner?
For all the statement given by most of the forumer, no one mentioned that there was an increase in bring home cash for the low waged worker leh..Originally posted by ozon:hmm....EVERYBODY wish to bring back more cash.
Isn't that minister speaking the obvious?
who likes their own money to be tied down by force?
