This madam don't know come from which 3rd world country, never surfed the net before that's why so shocked to find so many anti PAP postings.
But she is still quite clever, know that something is wrong when more than 85% of the postings are negative about her master. Unfortunately, she showed her 3rd world roots again when she suggested managing the net as a solution to that problem. She doesn't know that in the first world the govt do go round managing what people say or control the internet.

Likewise, we may be ahead of corrupt governments in Third World countries, but we're far behind many First World countries in terms of good governance. I can agree that the US is a poor example of good governance (it's basically legalised anarchy and hypocriticism there), but surely the Scandinavian countries are a much better model to follow.
It seems that looking backwards is the way to go for the ruling party and their supporters. Don't they know that if they keep looking backwards, they can't see what's ahead of them? -

essentially of course, the whole fact that they HAVE to keep looking back and quoting past successes means there is NOTHING positive to look forward to! Nothing that can be proudly raised as a positive, because the current situation, posed as a positive, is more apt as a lousy joke.
For eg, the frantic presentation of the recent election victory of the ruling party as a "strong mandate" and "landslide victory" is a very good sign of just how desperate things are for the ruling party and their blind supporters. And that does not even take into account the breaking up of previously strong opposition constituencies and annexing them with MUCH LARGER constituencies where the margin of support for the ruling party is enough to overcome the total number of opposition supporters. I mean, hey, if they need to play dirty like that to get their "strong mandate" then well, thats just very telling how things really are isn't it? -

Not all things can be quantified and classified into packets of data, like how the election pattern models that were rumoured to be used in conjunction with boundary classification. -

questions like "how come except for the opposition MPs, the rest are like part-timers?" and if "ministers' wages are high to prevent corruption, how come the NZ minister's pay is 20% of ours and they are above us in the least corrupt list?"
