after reading this from lonestar ..http://www.sgforums.com/?action=thread_display&thread_id=192825
after reading that, i just have something to say..
Actually this is just my personal feeling:
Singapore is facing a "crisis" of changing from a developing nation to a developed nation. Sorry to say, Singapore is never a developed nation. The thing right now is the country is losing it's charm to the local talents and thus resulting in the outflow of our natural resources "local developed talents". We have to admit thoes that is rich enough and who think that they have the ability would want to leave this country to "SEE MORE" of the outside world. The trend results in the loss of talents and money to develop the country thus the country would like to go for the usual "foreign import" of talents. Well it is really fine to go for that policy but the debate of "loyalty" will come. Anyway let's move on to the "cultivation" policy to develop the people. What type of people the country wana develop is also important here. To be a "Decisionmaker" is very vital for a developing nations. The decision makers know how to judge right and wrong and learn to make the right decsion whether it is for self interest or for the whole community. UNfortunately to say, from my point of view, the country is not interested in developing this type of people yet. Afterall the survival of the policymaker determine the status of the country right now.
Singapore is still a developed country and what we need now are policymakers that can get things done. A country that need to start develop need policymakers that can talk beatifully and package themselves well to bring everyone together but once it reach the stage of developing, WE need policymakers that can things done! Given the current situation.. i personally think that SIngapore is filled with people that prioritise in packaging themselves well but in term of abilities wise.. good luck... sometimes these people have to ask themselves if they want to HAVE ability OR they just wana get thru and move on to perfect their packaging skill. This trend occur in the society thus result in good "quality control" of EVERYTHING.
Well how should i say, i have vent my frustation

We need to learn and improve instead on staying in the "comfort" zone.
if not given next 100 yrs , Singapore will still be a a "geographical" good country , with the powerful policymakers and the whole society full of bees.
