PM LHL had said that the PAP will have to prepare now for the next election in 2011, which he expect to be even tougher.
Why should Singaporeans - including Chee - have no right to public speaking unless with a police permit to be approved by the PAP Minister of Home Affairs, when the PAP members are speaking openly in any and every constituencies WITHOUT PERMIT of any kind and on any subject that suit their fancy ? -

The more people listen and understand why Chee chose this path, the better.
We may not agree with his ideas fully, but we have to acknowledge his gumption. Only a fool would deride him. -
As you can see, the Lees dares not take Open Court - very typical of them.
Actually, their evasive and unfair ways are already further DEFAMING themselves.

Court case involving SDP's Chee Soon Juan, sister dismissed with costs

SINGAPORE : A case involving the Singapore Democratic Party's Chee Soon Juan and his sister Chee Siok Chin has been dismissed with costs.
The actual costs have not been determined.
The two Chees were in court for matters relating to a defamation suit which Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew took against them.
The Chees wanted to stop the two leaders from applying for a summary judgement in the defamation suit.
But since the judge dismissed this case on Wednesday, the leaders can now proceed with the summary judgement.
The closed-door sitting for the summary judgement has yet to be fixed.
The Chees' lawyer M. Ravi said his clients will not appeal the decision.
But even before the judge dismissed the case, Mr Ravi and the Chees walked out of chambers.
They said it was to "boycott" the procedures which they claimed were unfair.
Some of the accusations included the judge being bias and preventing the case from being heard in an open court. -

At least, Hong Kong people have the freedom to choose in their democracy - whether to enjoy or reject those items that you have classified as pornography.
Do Singaporeans have any choice in their Life - except to choose between upgrading or not ?
Even as we claimed ourselves to be of the 'First World', and supposedly with the best educated citizens in the world; with students supposedly being even better in spelling than Australian students; students that are better in mathematics than the US students; and STILL we are afraid of First World' Singaporeans being unable to make rational choices ?

Brothels are allocated to only certain areas.
Like you can't build a hotel right in the middle of a HDB estate.
Even the entertainment areas (bars/discos) are allocated in designated areas. -

CSJ had referred this uniqueness to mammals and common people - especially those who are the " most sophisticated and educated elites ".
Is there anything common about Singaporeans that we can place our finger on ?
Not all Singaporeans will consider ourselves to be in that exclusive " most sophisticated and educated elites " - so how did you come to the conclusion that CSJ was referring to "most of us are mice - blind mice" ?
Are you having some kind of guilt complex to think that you are included in that group that CSJ had referred to as - "most of us" ?
By extension, are you not being self-assuming to think that you will belong to the group which CSJ had also referred to as " most sophisticated and educated elites " ?
Judging from your contents posted, CSJ will be quite disappointed with your being included.

Even when one knows that the P.O.O. will be too strong for our own good, and that it is better to have more members from the Alternative Parties to serve as checks to abuses of powers - it remains uncomfortable that one has to be the deciding factor that will open an imagined pandora box that place our future in fearful doubt.
Is it not true also that - the more educated Singaporeans will resist any efforts to change their misguided beliefs - {of walking the well trodden path} - with all their mental energy.... and We can try to open their closed minds and free them from their self-imposed blindness, but it is not easy fighting the force of human nature..

filed their defence?This time he started the proceedings earlier, just before the campaign period. We wanted to challenge the Lees and to let the matter go to trial as we refused to be intimidated by them. We filed in our defence and planned to call on expert witnesses to testify at the trial.
2.i remember Chees did not file their defence.Thats why the Lees submitted an application to the Supreme Court for summary judgment against them.If
Chees did file defence,Chee have a chance to cross exam LEEs.
