Recent events has been rather disturbing...
Singapore kills another person = murder, death sentence
FT kills another person = manslaughter, jail

This is just one of the many maid killer case in Singapore. How many has been sentence to death? We see the law trying hard to get the death penalty when a Singaporean kills another. In another instance, we see the same law trying it's best to reduce a sentence to manslaughter when a FT is involve.
Very weird. Makes you wonder what benefits does a Singaporean has. -

It depends on the circumstances, evidences and mitigation of each cases which are uniquely in nature. We should debate on each particular case in isolation and not form any sweeping statement amounting to contempt of court.
