SM Goh - PAP Rethinking Potong Pasir and Hougang strategy.
robertteh
Residents in Potong Pasis and Hougang were the same as residents in other wards - they don't like bullying tactics.
SM Goh failed to understand this very elementary logic that people do not like bullying tactics being used in this election.
It is as simple as this. Otherwise Sitoh and Low would have got some extra votes due to their years of serving the residents good shark fin.
PAP should also know another basic logic - although they got 66.6 % in other wards that does not mean they have real willing support of 66.6& on the willing-voter basis as many of them voted for PAP out of no choice being cornered into voting for PAP due to preemptive elimination of credible oppositions by means of the unconstitutional GRC, electoral redrawing and election-time defamation suits against oppositions.

seems chok has got split personality...on the cna interview, he was ranting about doing minimal for the opposition wards but the straits times reported nothing on it, if anything it tried to potray his supposedly magnanimous side.....

I think Lau Goh have overstayed and should performed his duty without any more public interview.
The interview that he have done during and after election have done enough harm and Ah Lee would be sweating over the comments that Lau Goh is making.
If he really have nothing to contribute to Singapore, he should step down and enjoy his retirement in UK.
Now, Singapore have too many voices on top.
Ah Lee should be the one taking the lead and speaking, not his father or his god uncle.
If Potong Pasir and Hougang are under the special strategy of non-upgrading program, then they should be paying less tax as their life are not distubed by constant upgrading noise every other day.

PAP wants to take back HG and PP? Give them the $180million upgrading package.

This upgrading tactic is so scary.
It's like during war time, only PAP wards should be protected by our soldiers since the majority voted for the incumbent party.

He's just warming up, getting ready for a comeback, to put his reputation to the test again.
Only this time, if his reputation gets thrashed again, it'll take longer for him to re emerge.
Growing old is mandatory. Growing wise is optional.

When there's one leader, it's easy to to see the direction he takes.
When you have 3 leaders going in different directions, it's easy to get lost.
pearlie27
exactly. i always wonder why we need so many leaders when our PM is supposed to be so very the brilliant. and they are also very expensive!

why do i have this feeling the father and the son put the holy goh up to this?

Glad the election is over now...and being a first time voter, I can clearly see that Election 2006 and other elections are just "elections for the sake of having one".
The PAP had painted a beautiful picture as such that even opposition dare not talk back against them or risk hefty defamination suits. The media are just another CNA, in net terms "Controlled Network Agency". How many reports you have read on the papers about the opposition during the electioning campaign? Then again, evn beforethe votes are casted, positive reports are made in favour to the men in white.
Is this what we want as a democratic society? Based on justice and EQUALITY?
I'm not biase or against the PAP, I do agree they have done a great job for Singapore, but what Singaporeans needs is another voice in parliament and not just a voice but someone to represent us.
