Do you queue for this in the morning? Why is it free?

  Do you find this sight familiar in the morning? Do you see a queue in the picture, are you one of them in the queue? Ever ask yourself why free newspapers?

  i think because train rides will be boring....so need papers to entertain them

  You mean some one there so concern about entertaining commuters and that's why they give away free newspaper?

  well...maybe its one of their strategy in their sales....free papers means more people....and more people reading it means...more advertisers will put the ad on the papers....which means...profit for the papers...

  The adverts are indeed enough to cover the cost plus gahmen can use as propaganda.
  Most expensive advert so far is...(to my knowledge) $400,000 paid by SIA for a 4 page spread in colour including the centre spread but that was in the ST and was years ago too. Anyone got an idea what the record now ?

  the best ad was the DVC advertisements on a particular mrt station's floor(i tink orchard) one of em which was a pic of Jesus...nice one that was

  I don't subscribe to any newspapers...
  and newspapers are really helpful to line my cat's litter bin after I finish with it
  plus also.. to lay on paper when eating dinner do can just throw away dont need to wipe table..
