Patient Rejected By 3 Hospitals

  This shortage of beds is not new.
  
  Some year ago a malay man died of a stroke, because he was made to wait 6 friggin hours when he was brought to SGH A&E by his family!
  
  Imagine, a stroke patient half conscious and convulscing, made to wait 6 friggin hours!
  
  Healthcare? More like Hellcare!

  I tell you ah, I just pray nothing happens to me, cos if I end up sent to any of those friggin gov hospitals, I probably die there!
  
  Last time, when my dad had a heart attack and got sent to TTSH, I had him transfered out after 12 hours even though the hospitals says he cannot be transfered. My dad was freaked out by the way those nurese were treating him! And I freaked out too when I rushed there to see him brandishing a drip stand at a nurse.
  
  Anyway, after transfered to Gleneagles, he recovered in no time and was back in his office in a weeks time. Well, that was some 10 over years ago.
  
  But these days, I still hear horror stories of these gov hospitals....

  >> Who are mostly occupying the beds?

  I read in the ST today that TTSH A & E dept doesn't recieve patients for a ccertain period of a day. Do u mean 2 more hosp. also do the same?

  TTSH has one patient died recently because doc gave him only panadol & refused to give a scan for severe headache problem. The patient was checked for heart instead.What kind of doc?

  a denizen of these forums, who has now moved to another country, once worked as a nurse here..
  
  the con-men-sultants got to the hospitals...
  
  things which should not be considered over human lives and care were worshipped... things like KPI, "industry standards" and all that BS in "business" were implemented...
  
  she said that if you were in a traffic accident and had an arterial haemorrhage, you're dead... simply because there isn't enough supplies to keep the casualty alive in the emergency room...
  
  she tried to get more but was told off, scolded and threatened with disciplinary action if she tried to do that again...
  
  now.. try beds this time

  I tot taiwan's medical is free, is it still true?
  just as the MIW don't use public services, especially when its not a staged act with everything and everyone cleared out, nor do they care about the ridiculous policies implemented that disadvantage/penalise locals to the disbelief of singaporeans and foreigners (who took full advantage of course - while sniggering all the way to the bank.)
