Instead of releasing, they are bombarding Northern Israel with rockets. Today the rockets hit a bus station, killing people. So there might just be a ME war this week, the next few days.

Israel had withstood the combined threat of attack from the "entire" Arab World, which was completely diffused in the 6-Day War in June 1967.
In that war Israel had to face the threat on three fronts of her border with Egypt, Jordan and Syria - all three had massed their military in preparation for an invasion and with support from Arab countries further away from this theatre of war.
The threat was neutralised by the swift actions of the Israeli Air Force, which neutralised the opposing airforce, support and supply lines in the early hours of the decision to attack first with the threat itself being justifiable cause and not necessary for an attack to take effect that will become fatal to Israel.
This sudden initiative on Israel's part saved herself, and gave her military the element of complete surprise that allowed her smaller numbers to overwhelm the larger numbered opponents.
The final result of this war that ended in 6-Days, was that Israel ended up with a land mass that included the Golan Heights, the West Bank (once belonging to Jordan), and the entire Sinai Peninsula with the Suez Canal as a new border with Egypt.
The current tension and build-up to a war scenario will give Israel a new opportunity to strike deep and take the poison sting out of the Hezbollah and Hamas.
If Syria and Iran are found to be directly involved by their financial and logistical support to these two organisations that has declared the destruction of the State of Israel, this is an opportunity for Israels potent military to strike the infrastructure of Syria and Iran, and pulverize their present economic status into the Stone Age.
Any country that is daring enough to declare open conflict with Israel will better be prepared for its infrastructure to be vaporised, which will take another ten years and billions to restore.
Iran's mischief in covert financial and material support to Hezbollah, and in goading the Hezbollah to attack Israel is clear.
Iran will open herself to attack by Israel, if firm evidence is found that Iran is clearly using Hezbollah as proxy to fight Israel; and such evidence are not hard to find as soon as it is clearer as to how the "home-made" Hezbollah rockets can now reach a distance of over 40 kilometers. Are these rockets no longer "home-made" quality now, and have these been replaced by more sophisticated rockets developed by Iran ?
Was the recent Israeli patrol boat hit by an Iranian "silk worm" shore to sea missile - as this is the first time that an Israeli ship was hit from the Lebanese shore ?
The prime target in Iran will be the fragile nuclear development facilities.
From the historical records, one should never doubt the Israeli resolve - and the Jewish minds - they are prepared and are certainly refining their plans and studying their options.
Presently, Iran and Syria are the known direct supporters to the events created by Hezbollah and Hamas, it will be in their own interests to reign in the actions of their proxies before the situation get out of control.
Even if Israel attacked Iran, it will hardly lead to a wider Middle-east War or even WW-3. -
BEIRUT — Lebanon's government stood in disarray Sunday, looking on as Hezbollah intensified both rocket attacks and rhetoric aimed at Israel.
Hezbollah's Al-Manar Television station aired an address by the group's leader, Sheik Hassan Nasrallah, who promised to press on with attacks against Israel.
"We are now fighting a battle for the (Islamic) nation," he said.
Israeli aircraft attacked Al-Manar's transmission facilities, but the station remained on the air most of the day. It ran martial music and footage of militants launching rockets at Israel.
The Lebanese government ignored Israeli demands that it mobilize its army and rein in Hezbollah. -

Newt Gingrich said what we all fear: "We are in the early stages of what I would describe as the third world war."
The former Speaker of the House and possible Republican candidate for president explained on NBC's "Meet the Press" what he described as the theaters of this war, North Korea's test missile, terrorist bombs in India, continued war in Afghanistan and the threats against Israel from the alliance of Iran, Syria, Hamas and Hezbollah.
Gingrich warned of a Puget Sound calamity. "You know, before the show, we were talking about Seattle and the extraordinary port facility there. Can we risk losing San Francisco or Seattle? Can we risk -- I mean, people don't -- if nuclear weapons and biological weapons didn't exist, we would not be having this conversation," he said. "But people have got to come to a core grip here. When, when the Hart-Rudman Commission reported in 2001, it said, in March, 'The greatest threat to the United States is a weapon of mass destruction going off in an American city, probably from terrorists.' "
We don't agree with all of Gingrich's assessment, but we worry that this, indeed, could be the beginning of wider conflicts. -

Lebanon bombed to bits
BEIRUT: Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah vowed yesterday an unrestrained campaign against Israel as his group killed eight people in a rocket attack on its third largest city and Lebanon reeled under devastating bombardment. But in the strongest international message yet to the protagonists, the G8 group of top world nations demanded at their summit in Saint Petersburg an end to Israeli military operations and attacks by militants on Israel. At least 39 Lebanese were killed in Israeli strikes as the Jewish state pressed on with the fifth day of a blistering offensive that has left much of Lebanon's infrastructure in tatters and raised fears of all-out regional war.
"We will use all means," Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah said in an address on Lebanese television. "As long as the enemy has no limits, we will have no limits. Surprises are coming. Our forces are still intact, and we are the ones who are choosing the time and the place" for the attacks, he warned. The rocket attack on the Mediterranean port of Haifa was the deadliest cross-border rocket attack on Israel in decades and strengthened the Jewish state's resolve to destroy the Shiite militant group.
"Nothing will deter us, whatever far-reaching ramifications regarding our relations on the northern border and in the region there may be," said Prime Minister Ehud Olmert.
Within two hours of the 8 am Haifa attack, Israel warplanes retaliated by bombarding the Hezbollah headquarters in south Beirut, sending a thick smoke cloud over the city. Hezbollah said it had fired "Raad (Thunder) 2 and Raad 3" rockets at Haifa. A senior political source said Israel's army chief, Dan Halutz, had told a cabinet meeting that "some of the missiles were probably produced by Syria".
The United States has maintained Israel had every right to defend itself and also urged restraint over the offensive, which has split the international community and raised fears of dragging Syria and Iran into the conflict. But the leaders of Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Russia and the United States presented a united front in urging all parties to halt violence in a statement issued at their summit. "The extremists must immediately halt their attacks. Those extremist elements and those that support them cannot be allowed to plunge the Middle East into chaos and provoke a wider conflict." Urging Israel "to exercise utmost restraint," it demanded "an end to Israeli military operations (in Lebanon and Gaza) and the early withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza."
