i have heard that the maids who go on days off and chatter with other maids have a different outlook and attitude towards working once they come back.
they can 'learn' a lot of things...
yup, the things they learn include something like "how to make ur boss treat u nicely, or listen to u", "how to make babies quiet", etc.
then they will start adding stuff to ur drinks or food... for example they put their *used* pads in the soup... wow...

That's because there's not enough support from Singaporeans. Many Singaporeans do not believe maids deserve a day off and expect them to work 12 hours a day for a few hundred dollars.
Well, our so-called "professionals" are oso working 12hrs a day (or more) and paid peanuts as compared to similar positions overseas. when they work long hours, they need someone (maid) to take care of their home, elderlys or kids.
wait... this peanut is not the 600k golden peanut ok...
