  I think doctor is a risky profession.When they make errors,patients suffer or even die.I wonder how they manage.

  that's why they have to go thru so much training, and they are considered the elite.

  well if i think 2 or 3 engineers make mistakes they can kill and injure much more pple but they get so little pay, recognition and are considered scum/nobodies

  Some so-called mistakes by doctors are only apparent on hindsight. It is very easy to look back and say "i could have done this".
  
  Some mistakes, on the other hand, is just plain incompetence and sloppiness. For this particular death, I leave everyone here to decide for themselves what they think it is.

  Elite? Special priveleges? Honour? Fame? Perhaps for the very top few.

  Engineers are unlkely to make majopr error.If they do make such kind of error & bulidng collapse,the whole would know about it.
  
  Doc treat 1 patient at a time & treat so many patients.The chances for them to make error or harm somone are high.When they make errors, often only patients concerned know.
