Something more uplifting: what do you LIKE about S'pore?

So, I've been accused of being thankless when I point out the cracks in the upper tiers of S'pore's powerbase and the flaws in their policies.
So, to show my appreciation to our little red dot, I'll make a start with stuff that I'm HAPPY about in Singapore:
1. Clean dependable tap-water ALWAYS. S'pore is the only place in Southeast Asia where I brush my teeth with tap-water.
2. Reliable power supply. Elsewhere in SEAsia, the norm is for power to come on-and-off ever so often.
3. Personal safety. I've never felt unsafe anywhere in S'pore after dark, even in seedy Geylang or rowdy Boat Quay. Even in '1st' world countries, there are usually no-go areas after dark.
4. Being fluent in English. It truly is the international language, and thanks to MOE for teaching me how to speak/write it fluently.
5. Having a 2nd language. Many of my Aussies, English, American friends are fluent only in English. So they are amazed that I can speak not only English, but Mandarin, chinese dialects, Malay... Thanks to MOE again.

I don't have to wait 1 hour for the public bus on sundays, the first bus, and last bus isn't at 0830hrs and 2200hrs respectively.

i really beg to differ about the proper english part. since when did MOE start teaching good english? most teachers i know use enGRISH

They are so desperate for teachers, they are willing to accept english teachers who are mandarin speaking. I know cos I know ppl in MOE. -

Politics and Economics aside, this country is a great place to live in.

After thinking for a while, I can't think of anything I like about Singapore.
However, I've a long list of what I don't like about Singapore, which is not for this thread.

1. no war.
2. no riots.
3. air is considered fresh, especially compared to certain cities.
4. shops, etc, in walking distance.
5. lotsa makan.
6. things not as ex as certain cities. desite the rising costs.
7. education is fairly good, despite not the best.
8. streets are safe.
9. my parents are here.
10.technology level is quite high. -

It just feels, like home.
I know that our country has a fast rate of development, and familiar landmarks get knocked down for the sake of the economy. My HDB flat that I grew up in has been knocked down years ago, and now my SECOND HDB flat may also be knocked down.
Still, the food, people, language (I like Singlish, it is US), etc.
If only the government treasures its people more, and gives less priority to cheap forei... I mean foreign talents. -
security. w/o it there's nothing else to talk abt. we'll just be fending for ourselves like what most countries are in times of war.

No 10% GST on everything except fresh bread and vegetables.
No 47.5% income tax rate for $100000++ annual income. -
the weather. it makes sauna redundant!!!
