Actually the Singapore Police has allowed some demonstrations but to the legal limits. It's good also and you can see how it's like. But for me and my other counterparts, it's not going to be easy as we have to control the crowd and take care of the securities but it's a good thing as if we perform well, Singapore will gain a reputation as a country with professionlism.Originally posted by ctstalin:i want to see the demonstrations that follows this meeting![]()

If they can ban the korean demostrators to come in singapore, would be better.Originally posted by batmanbegins:Actually the Singapore Police has allowed some demonstrations but to the legal limits. one shall not ban expressions of opinion, but just make sure they stay within reasonable limits.Originally posted by laoda99:If they can ban the korean demostrators to come in singapore, would be better.
Yeah, I agree with KenKaw. Hope my recall for the meeting is smooth and good.Originally posted by kenkaw:I feel that hosting the IMF/WB Meetings is an excellent opportunity to showcase Singapore and its financial sector to the world. I'll bet it'll be the first time many of the delegates and guests have been to our island state.
Part of China? Who would think this way? It's a very postive look for this meeting and if this meeting is successful, Singapore will gain more reputation. Have a feeling that the meeting will be a successful one.Originally posted by saline:this IMF/world bank meeting would (hopefully) bring in lots of $$. expose singapore to the outside world. i know of some ppl who still thinks that singapore is part of china!
I bet these ang mohs (Red Hair Monkeys) are ignorant. We are known as singapore chinese not Chinese Nationals! If they think this way, why will they still come here?Originally posted by saline:some ang mohs that i talked to in my travels.
