Well, true - we'd be nowhere if not for LKY.
But right now, all I can see is that Singapore is going to become like Japan, where a simple bowl of nooldes can cost S$10.00 in future. And perhaps a bus ride out to the nearest MRT station from heartland estates can cost $2.
Thanks to Pap for their over pricing of our land cost.....This is an illusion that painted to singapreans that our land is scare...but when look into www.maps.google.com of our singapore land...I noticed many land in prime areas were used for golf course...one goft course is equal to Toa Payoh or more. So..guys..what say you?
Just look at AMK industrial parks...how many are vacant...Alexandra techology Park's occupancy rate, Jurong industrial parks and etc....
I remembered that many years ago..HDB mentioned only 10% of land were built with HDB's flats. So...you see..pap govt is artificially jacking the land cost.
The poor planning of URA and LTA had also resulted heavy traffic congestion even during off-peak hours.
LTA refuse to admit their poor planning or an oversight in planning. Just look at CTE the exit point and entrance point of express way is so near to each other...during the peak hours...drivers entered into express way had to filtered out to express way's centre lane or outer lane.. on the other hand, drivers from express way wanted to exit had to criss-crossed with the out going drivers within 100-200m. Hence, it caused heavy jammed on CTE. But they are dirty enough to pass on the cost to drivers by implementing ERP.
