Male University graduates in China working maids/nannies

Graduates from Sichuan University are flocking to Beijing in search of jobs as maids/nannies. Given the shortage of nannies in big cities and the excessive numbers of unemployed university graduates in China, even men are taking on jobs as nannies. They are considered to be good candidates for such jobs because they tend to be better witrh household electrical items, able to repair and operate advanced electronic devices, have a higher education level and so function better as teachers for young children.
Their pay? 1500-1800 RMB or S$297-357 per month. Perhaps Singaporeans will ditch our Indonesian maids for Chinese grads next.

that won't happen yet ... as China has strict controls on labour flows to other countries ....... unless, of course, they are illegal ....
but it's for us in Singapore to take note ..... China produced 25 million graduates last year, and the economy had the capacity to absorb only 2.5 million of them ......
those who still have that ostrich, head in the sand mentality would do well to take note .....
In anycase, I think Singaporeans prefer their maids dumb and slightly wretched .... their egos wouldn't allow a maid who just might be smarter than they are ...
