A career in arts, history and culture in singapore?

  i am not a arts student. But i feel one of the most useful ways an individual can be creative and peace of mind is through the art and culture or history
  
  If i want to have a carreer or in this field in one way or another, how do i go about it?
  
  I know for one there are a few places like the National Archives ect.
  
  Any useful recommendations , organisations is greatly appreciated. Thank You.

  many ways, i think history related programme in uni is the way to go..
  
  and there are lack of people in areas of history and culture. they actually have to import foreign talents to study and explain the history of singapore!

  Arts and social science subjects at university level are generally known as a general degree, and as you have mentioned what you have acquired( or proven to possess) is critical thinking skill.
  From what i know, unless you get a good honours degree then your career path is pretty lacklustre. I know of an American who is a Public Policy consultant, though he has a PhD in history.

  NHB and museums under NHB such as ACM, SHM etc
  museums NOT under NHB, such as Chinatown Heritage Centre, Changi Museum, etc
  
  Arts:
  DAMN broad area. You talking about drama, visual arts, theatre arts or what? If all of the above, lots and lots of places.

  For history, actually one can apply for the position of Manager/Executive (Defence Policy) in Mindef:
