for me, to answer the question, I will.
I am trained to do it in my NS, and given a rifle, I will shoot at any invaders who challenge Singapore.
It is the place where I am born, bred and live all my life. So I have a duty to protect it. -

Well for me personally, I don't fight for the ruling party. I fight for the country. Actually, I will see that as a splendid time for a military coup, because for the first time, the whole lot of us will be armed. we might not have gone through war-torn situations. but i am sure most of us will stay and defend our motherland, our home, our family and loves one.
take a look at the time during japanese occupation. the generation then did not go through war as well, but they stood up and joined the resistance against invading force.
now, with all the training we receieved from SAF, we will be better organised and equipped.
so my answer to the threadstarter's question is " Yes, I will and ready to fight and lay my life for my country, my home, my family and my love ones" -
UN need peacekeeping troops now, anyone want to do Spore proud?

I think most Singaporeans will stay and fight for their HDB flats and CPF accounts.
